1. Who We Are

Ovatutoring is an education platform helping students aged 3–18. Only parents, tutors, and schools can create accounts. Students do not sign up directly.

2. What Data We Collect

Parents/Tutors: Full name, email address, password (encrypted via Firebase)
Students: First name, age, six-digit access code, optional learning difficulty info, activity and progress data (e.g. quiz results)
Schools: School name, school email
Billing: Payment method and billing info collected via Stripe (we do not store full card details)

3. Why We Collect This Data

To create and manage secure user accounts
To allow parents/tutors to track student progress
To improve the learning experience
To process subscription payments securely

4. Legal Basis

We collect data with consent and for the legitimate purpose of delivering our education services.

5. How Data is Stored

All data is securely stored in Firebase. We use HTTPS encryption and access controls to protect your information.

6. Who Can See Your Data

Parents/tutors can see the progress of the students they create
We do not sell or share your data with third parties

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request access to your data
Correct or delete your data
Withdraw consent at any time

9. Payments via Stripe

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Ovatutoring does not store any full credit/debit card details. Stripe handles all payment transactions in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
